About This Project

ONLINE EDUCATIONAL CONTENT – VIDEO SCENARIO

Drunken Stereotypes is one of a series of films we produced for Edith Cowan University’s School of Nursing.

We had the pleasure of working with Paul MacPhail, head of Country Arts WA, and acclaimed playwright David Milroy (former Artistic Director of Yirra Yaakin Noongar Theatre). These films were designed to tell stories of common Aboriginal experiences in a healthcare environment, focusing on their interactions with staff. These stories were brought to life by an incredible cast local Perth actors, including Kelton Pell (Redfern NowAustralian RulesRed Dog: True Blue) and  Heath Bergersen (Rabbit Proof FenceJapanese StoryThe Secret River).

The purpose of these videos was to present these scenarios to ECU Nursing students, and how different approaches to addressing these situations can produce very different outcomes.
